GIFT AID
Your Subscription could be worth an extra 25% to the Society thanks to the taxman.
How? The Gift Aid rules allow the Society to claim from HM Revenue & Customs, the tax
you have paid on your subscription. Following receipt of the Gift Aid Declaration, on each
£15 subscription, the Society claims £3.75 from the HMRC. Gift Aid Declaration: I am a UK taxpayer and I would like the Harpenden Gardening Society to reclaim the tax on this subscription and any that I make in the future until further notice. I understand that I need to pay enough Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in each tax year to cover the Gift Aid claimed on all my donations to charity, otherwise it is my responsibility to pay any difference. Please notify the Society if you wish to cancel this declaration; change your name or home address; or if your tax circumstances change.

PLEASE NOTE that HMRC only allows individual declarations, so joint members are requested to each sign a declaration.
